Which Internet browsers are compatible with the setup.gosilent console (GoSilent Cube)?

As of version 19.02.2.047 or newer, the GoSilent Cube’s admin console supports Microsoft Edge, Chrome and Firefox browsers. We will be offering support for Safari and Internet Explorer in a future release.

As of version 19.02.0.11 and newer, the GoSilent Server admin console supports the Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and Firefox browsers. We will be offering support for Safari and Internet Explorer in a future release.

 

How to factory reset GoSilent Cube via a USB drive?

The factory reset via USB feature is available for firmware version 19.02.2.047 (May 2019) and beyond. (WARNING: This will permanently delete all stored data on the USB drive. Resetting the GoSilent Cube to factory settings will remove the server profiles, reset the GoSilent Admin Console password to the factory default, and remove all saved network settings.)

  1. Format a USB drive to "FAT32" or "MS-DOS (FAT)" and name the USB drive "ATTILARESET" 
  2. Power off the GoSilent Cube by removing the power cord
  3. Remove all peripherals (USB-to-Ethernet Adapter or Wi-Fi Adapters) from the GoSilent Cube
  4. Plug the USB drive into one of the USB Ports labeled "Internet"
  5. Power on the GoSilent Cube by inserting the power cord with the USB drive plugged in
  6. Wait 90 seconds for the GoSilent Cube to reset
  7. Power off the GoSilent Cube by removing the power cord
  8. Unplug the USB drive from GoSilent Cube
  9. Plug in all peripherals again (USB-to-Ethernet Dongle or Wi-Fi Adapters) into the GoSilent Cube
  10. Plug in the power cord into the GoSilent Cube and wait 20-30 seconds for device to fully power on
  11. Access the website of https://setup.gosilent into your web browser
  12. The factory reset has been completed. Proceed through the Setup Wizard (For additional instructions go to https://attilasec.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021302931-Quick-Start)

 

I forgot my admin console password to the https://setup.gosilent, how do I change my password? 

If you forget the admin console password to your GoSilent Cube, there is no way to recover or reset that password. The only course of action is to restore the GoSilent Cube back to the original factory settings. (WARNING: Resetting the GoSilent Cube to factory settings will remove the server profiles, reset the GoSilent Admin Console password to the factory default, and remove all saved network settings.)

To factory reset the GoSilent Cube:

If you have version 18.09.1.086 (Released November 2018) or newer:

  • Connect your computer to your GoSilent Cube through Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  • Navigate to “http://setup.gosilent:8080” in your browser to reach the Factory Reset page
  • Click the “Reset” button
  • WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE POWER FROM THE GOSILENT CUBE OR NAVIGATE AWAY FROM GOSILENT CUBE'S FACTORY RESET PAGE IN YOUR BROWSER
  • Wait for 15 minutes for the Factory Reset to complete
  • Reconnect your computer to your GoSilent Cube through Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  • Once complete, navigate to "https://setup.gosilent"
  • Proceed through the Setup Wizard (For additional instructions go to https://attilasec.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021302931-Quick-Start)

 

If you have version 18.09.0.019 (Released October 2018) or older:

  • Connect your computer to your GoSilent Cube through Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  • Navigate to “http://setup.gosilent:404” in your browser to reach the Factory Reset page
  • Click the “Reset” button
  • WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE POWER FROM THE GOSILENT CUBE OR NAVIGATE AWAY FROM GOSILENT CUBE'S FACTORY RESET PAGE IN YOUR BROWSER
  • Wait for 15 minutes for the Factory Reset to complete
  • Reconnect your computer to your GoSilent Cube through Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  • Once complete, click the "Refresh" button to refresh the page or navigate to "https://setup.gosilent"
  • Proceed through the Setup Wizard (For additional instructions go to https://attilasec.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021302931-Quick-Start)

I forgot my LAN Wi-Fi password to access my Gosilent Cube, how do I look up or change my LAN Wi-Fi password?

If you forget the LAN Wi-Fi password but you are the administrator for the GoSilent Cube then you can look up or change the GoSilent Admin Console password. You will have to connect to the GoSilent Cube using an ethernet cable to lookup or change the LAN Wi-Fi password.

To perform this you have to plug one side of an ethernet cable into the GoSilent Cube’s RJ45 Ethernet port. This port is labeled "Device" on the GoSilent Cube. Then plug the other side of the ethernet cable to your computer's RJ45 Ethernet port or USB port using a USB to Ethernet adapter. If you have version 18.09.0.019 (Released October 2018) or newer:

  • Connect your computer to your GoSilent Cube through an Ethernet cable
  • Navigate to “https://setup.gosilent” in your browser
  • Enter the admin console password
  • Select "Network" on the left side menu
  • Select "Change..." under the "Local Network Configuration" panel
  • Under the "Device Hotspot" section, find the "Hotspot Password" text field
  • To look up the Wi-Fi password to access the GoSilent Cube, click the eye icon on the right of hotspot password text field to reveal the password
  • To change the Wi-Fi password to access the GoSilent Cube, enter the new password and click "Save Configuration"
  • If you changed the password, the Wi-Fi name will disappear from your computer's Wi-Fi List for approximately 2 minutes
  • Check your computer's Wi-Fi list and click your GoSilent Cube’s Wi-Fi Name
  • Enter the new Wi-Fi password
